The 16th Annual Impact Awards presented by the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) will be held on February 22, 2013 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The NHMC Impact Awards have become a long standing tradition of honoring Hollywood’s finest in media. Three of this year’s honorees have been announced: Gina Torres (Suits, USA Network); Lana Parrilla from ABC’s Once Upon a Time; and Morena Bacarrin from USA’s hit Homeland.
Last year’s honorees included: Cesar Millan the Dog Whisperer, Chris Weitz (A Beautiful Life), Benjamin Bratt (Private Practice), Aubrey Plaza (Parks & Recreation), Efren Ramirez (Napoleon Dynamite), and Michelle Rodriguez (Fast & Furious, Machete Kills)

The NHMC, under the direction of Alex Nogales , President and CEO is a non-partisan, non-profit, media advocacy and civil rights which for twenty-seven years they have been the leader in their mission to educate and influence media corporations on the importance of including U.S. Latinos at all levels of employment; professional development programs; and challenges media that carelessly exploit negative Latino stereotypes.
