Miami, FL — Miami Dade College’s Miami International Film Festival (MIFF), in partnership with MTV Latin America and Tr3s, opened submissions today to contemporary music videos of unique vision and superlative artistry from around the globe for its REEL Music Video Art Competition, to be held during MIFF’s 31st edition from March 7-16, 2014.
The new competition category arises from MIFF’s Reel Music Video Art program, launched in 2010, which featured creative music videos displaying music as an art form various.
MIFF’S REEL Music Video Art Competition, presented by MTV Latin America and Tr3s is open to all musical acts and video artists with a special emphasis placed on Latin American work (including videos for U.S. Hispanic musical acts and/or videos created by U.S. Hispanic video artists). Approximately 10 contemporary music videos will be chosen for the finalists, to be judged by MTV Latin America staff members and MIFF programmers.
