5K Charity Run/Walk Benefiting Children With Cancer
Bone Marrow Drive to be Held On-Site for 13-Year Old Patient in Desperate Need of a Donor Match.
Los Angeles, CA — Padres Contra El Cancer (PADRES) will host its 5th Annual ‘Stand for HOPE!’ 5K Charity Run/Walk on Sunday, June 24th, 2012 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA.
Participants are invited to run or walk with friends, family and colleagues to honor the HOPE & Courage of all cancer patients and raise funds to support vital programs and services that successfully increase survivorship rates among childhood cancer patients, while promoting the emotional and financial well-being of the entire family.
In attendance will be PADRES National Spokesperson and Honorary Chair, Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives); BETO CUEVAS (musician); AMAURY NOLASCO (Prison Break); JOSIE LOREN (Make it or Break it); KEVEN RAMIREZ (radio host); ENRIQUE GUTIERREZ (sports anchor); BRANDON RIOS (boxer); NICOLE ANDERSON (Make it or Break it); CASSIE SCERBO (Make it or Break It); ENRIQUE CASTILLO (Weeds, Blood in Blood Out) and KARYME LOZANO (actress/singer).
Official Spanish-language media partner, Univision Los Angeles will be joined by several corporate sponsors including Verizon Wireless.

Race festivities will include a Celebrity Red Carpet Arrival, Awards Presentation and a Finish Line Celebration with live music, games and prizes! Registration fees are only $25 for adults and $15 for children and include a commemorative t-shirt. Registration starts at 7:00AM with an 8:30A: 5K Run/Walk Start.
