Get Into The Holiday Season by Giving Back!

Los Angeles, CA — The California Latino Caucus Institute’s Madrinas Padrinos Leadership Program will be celebrating their 5th Annual Holiday Toy Drive on December 11th 6pm – 9pm at Tamayo’s Restaurant. 5300 East Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90022.   Everyone is welcome.  Admission with an unwrapped toy is $10; General admission is $25.  This year’s Holiday Event Partners are Latin Heat and the National Hispanic Leadership Institute. Toy donations will benefit La Posada a transitional housing project for single teen mothers and their children run by New Economics for Women and located int he Pico Union community of Los Angeles.

There will be a live auction, benefiting the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) and the first annual “Ties and Bows live auction”  where elected member’s scarves and ties will be auctioned.

Political dignitaries scheduled go attend:   Assemblymember Cristina Garcia, 58th AD; Councilman Gil Cedillo, Los Angeles City Council District 1; Steve Veres, L.A. Community College District Board of Trustees; and Ana Guerrero, Chief of Staff Mayor Eric Gracetti.


The California Latino Caucus Institute’s Madrinas Padrinos Leadership Program is designed for young professionals interested in leadership development and serving their community. The goal of the program is to provide its members the skills necessary to maximize their leadership potential while creating a professional network of peers.


The National Hispana Leadership Institute is designed for young professionals interested in leadership development and serving their community. The goal of the program is to provide its members the skills necessary to maximize their leadership potential while creating a professional network of peers. To develop Latinas as ethical leaders through training, professional development, relationship building, and community activism.
