The City of South Padre Island in Texas will host the 25th Annual CineSol Film Festival at South Padre Island Convention Center on November 16-18.
Forty independently produced films will screen over three days, twelve of the films have some connection to the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) are set to screen at the 25th edition of The CineSol Film Festival. Screenings will include ten documentaries, six features, and 24 shorts. The films are from all over the world including the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Ireland, Bulgaria, Mexico, and Spain. The Texas Filmmakers’ Showcase returns and well as the 13th Annual 36 Hour Film Race Results!
The special invited guest will be local McAllen graduate director Catherine Hardwicke who will be conducting a Masterclass on Saturday, Nov. 17th. That same evening there will be a 10th Year Anniversary screening of Twilight with Q&A by director Catherine Hardwicke. She will also be showing exclusive footage of your upcoming feature, Miss Bala which will be released in January 2019.
Every event is $5 except for the evening presentations: Tejano and 36 Hour Film Race Results. Those two events are $10. Twilight screening is $10 for the movie only. $20 for dinner and a movie. A Weekend Pass is $50. For more information, call 956-793-8783.
