Musical Director Carlos Rodgarman has succeeded again in producing an outstanding performance, evoking his love for music, as well as the merging of worldly sounds and genres. Rodgarman debuted his solo project, The RodgarBand, last Wednesday night at the album release launch party, which took place at Hollywood’s LURE nightclub. Rodgarman assembled an impressive collection of international musicians (comprising of a 28-piece band), singers, and dancers for a show with electrifying talent that heralded praise from attendees whose diversity reflected Rodgarman’s ability to resonate and bring together a wide array of individuals.
The Rodgarband’s talent brought together some of the most well-known and respected names from every vein of the music industry including Grammy Award-Winning Artist All-4-One, Grammy Award-Winning Producer Humberto Gatica, Grammy Award-Winning Record Producer Joel Diamond, Composer/Conductor Arturo Solar and his ever-talented wife, Pianist Anna Sarkisova, EastWest Recording Studio Manager Candace Stewart, and Actor/Singer Angelo Pagan among many others. Also in attendance were Antonio Jaramillo (NBC’s Shades of Blue), Oscar Torre (The Boatman), and Andrea Sixtos (Hulu’s East Los High).
The RodgarBand was accompanied by extraordinary performances by special guests such as singers Ilza Rosario, Luna La Rae, Martik Kanian, Carlo De Antonis, and flamenco singer, Jose Cortez, as well as the tap dancer, Anissa Lee, flamenco dancer, Manuel Gutierrez, and tango dancers, Carlos Barrionuevo and Mayte Valdes. Together the talented array of artists provided a sophisticated presentation of The RodgarBand’s 12 songs in a mélange of musical styles sewn together through jazz.
