Hispanicize 2012 today announced BlackBerry® as the presenting sponsor and official handheld mobile device of its National Latino Film Showcase . Hispanicize 2012 (http://www.HispanicizeEvent.com), the third annual Latino trends event, will take place in Miami, April 10-13.
As part of its film showcase sponsorship and in support of its U.S. Hispanic Q’Viva The Chosen platform, BlackBerry will host the official Black Carpet of the event’s main film premier night on April 12 and will also award the best independent feature film of this year’s historic showcase with a $10,000 check. In addition, BlackBerry will be hosting a series of activities for Latino bloggers and media to showcase the newest line up of BlackBerry 7 smartphones and BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablets.

The Hispanicize 2012 film showcase is being produced in conjunction with the venerable Latin Heat Media, LLC and Getty Images Hispanic, two leading entertainment content platforms.
This year’s film showcase (http://www.hispanicizeevent.com) is expected to highlight more than a combined 40 feature length films, documentaries and short films by Latino filmmakers. The deadline for filmmakers to submit movies for the showcase was February 21.
