Los Angeles, CA – The Broadway International Film Festival Los Angeles, which will be held on September 20-23rd will bring their four-day celebration of the arts and film to an end with the hilarious showing of The Journey of a Female Comic/La Trayectoria de Una Comediante, produced by Kiki Melendez and written by the comedian herself and Lyn McCullough.
“We chose Kiki’s film to close the festival because besides being highly entertaining, motivational and educational, it is also a film that could become a classic look into our Latinos In Hollywood“ said Emilio Vega founder of Arco del Triunfo Productions and Executive Director for BIFFLA.
The original Docu-Comedy takes you on a journey through the life of the amazingly talented and super hilarious, Kiki Melendez showcasing not only her triumphs and tribulations but walks through the life of all Latinos in Hollwood with cameos from Esai Morales, Lupe Ontiveros, Maria Conchita Alonso, Jacob Vargas, Nadine Velazquez, and The Dominican Obama, as well as stock footage from: Sofia Vergara, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, John Travolta, Shakira, Mark Anthony and much much more….
“ This was an experiment for me and my company, a completely bilingual project which takes a hilarious look at the life and the journey of all Latinos in Hollywood… through my eyes,” said Melendez “Everything that has ever happened to me, the good, the bad, the funny and the tragic”.
The Broadway International Film Festival Los Angeles has grown immensely over the last six years attracting films from a truly diversified international platform ultimately gearing focus to promote art, culture and education within the community’s youth.
The Journey of a Female Comic/La Trayectoria de una Comediante will have the honor of closing out the festivities of the BIFFLA on Sunday September 23th at 8pm at the Broadway Place in Los Angeles.
