People attending MUST bring program participation documents to enroll. No contracts, no credit checks and no gimmicks.
The Lifeline Low Income Phone program has been in existence since 1986, and the cell phone portion was added in 2008. Nearly 22 million people in the U.S. are currently enjoying free cell phone service every month. While that is a blessing for those folks, the fact of the matter is that nearly 170 million people in the U.S. qualify for this service and most do not have access to it. Free Phone Project’s Cell Phone Program is designed to help reach many of the remaining 148 million people who do not know they qualify for it.
