Univision Names Antonio Román Senior Vice President of National Sales


New York, NY – Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today announced the appointment of Antonio Roman to the position of senior vice president of National Sales for the Television Station Group. The announcement was made today by Mark Dante, executive vice president, Television Station Group Ad Sales.

In his new role, effective May 11, Roman will help lead a national team of sales professionals in developing innovative advertising and marketing solutions for Univision’s local media. 

“Antonio’s diverse experience is the new generation of leader for our business climate,” said Dante.  “He is well respected for his ability to build relationships and develop innovative solutions for our advertisers.  We look forward to adding his talents to our Station Group team.”

Roman has a long history with Univision. He began with the Company in 1996 as an account executive at KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles, where he later served as local sales manager. He also worked as vice president of Marketing and Business Development for the Univision Television Group where he developed strategic partnerships and marketing platforms such as “Cuentas Claras.” He most recently served as vice president of Network Sales, Southeast and Southwest Regions.

“It is more important than ever to find ways to connect the advertising community with our viewers,” said Roman, who will be relocating to New York from Miami. “I will work each day to build strong relationships and deliver creative ways to make that connection,” said Roman.

Roman started his career as an account executive/buyer for a Dallas-based advertising agency and as a broadcast buying supervisor at an advertising agency in San Antonio. A native of Puerto Rico, Roman is a graduate of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce.
