The Gunman is a thriller directed by Pierre Morel based on a novel by entitled The Prone Gunman by Jean-Partrick Manchette. It star Sean Penn, Javier Bardem and Peter Franzén and will premiere on March 20, 2015.
An international operative, Martin Terrier (Penn) wants out of the spy game, so he can settle down with his longtime love. But it won’t be that easy first he needs to survive being hunted by villains, played by Javier Bardem and Idris Elba, across Europe. This marks Penn’s entre into the action franchise genre.
