The Disney| ABC Writing Program is accepting applications for the 2013 program now through June 1, 2012. This is not a training program but rather a professional writing program with an emphasis on preparing individuals for placement as a staff writer on broadcast network or cable shows. We are looking for writers who demonstrate the immediate potential to be staffed on Disney ABC Television Group outlets.
Prior professional work experience in the entertainment industry is highly preferred as well as a college degree. Candidates are required to submit one completed spec script for initial consideration; however, if a candidate advances to the final stages of the interview process, the review of additional script samples and references from current and previous employers will be required.
This program is open to all individuals who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age and who possess evidence of identity and United States employment eligibility for the duration of the program. Writers with Writers Guild of America (WGA/west or WGA/east) credits are also eligible for this Program.
