Latino Thought Makers Features Emilio Rivera, Ruben Navarrette Jr., Wendy Carrillo

2016-2017 Latino Thought Makers Season Kicks Off October 12 OCPAC with Hollywood & Politics

In collaboration with the Ventura County Community College District and Oxnard College, Rick Najera’s Latino Thought Makers Live Series will return to the Oxnard College Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:00pm, kicking off its fourth season. Award-winning writer-director-producer and comedian, Rick Najera will host the series.

The season commencement, Latino Thought Makers: Hollywood & Politics, will feature a lively debate and discussion among special guests, including television and film star Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy, CSI: NY, Law & Order, Gang Related, High Crimes, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind), nationally syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette Jr. (The Washington Post, USA Today, MOSH), and political radio host Wendy Carrillo (KPWR’s Knowledge is Power,Reported.ly HuffPost Live). Rick Najera (CBS, Hulu’s East Los High, Mad TV, In Living Color) will host the show.

Latino Thought Makers will kick off its 2016-2017 series at Oxnard College Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:00pm at 4000 S. Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93033. Doors open at 6:30pm. The event is open to the public. Entrance and parking are FREE. A $5 donation is suggested to benefit the Oxnard College Foundation supporting student scholarships in the arts.
