Translated into Spanish from Don Nigro´s “Seascape with Sharks and Dancer,” is produced by 3Marias Productions (Brazil), with Gabriella Spacciari (Brazil) and Tomás Martic (Chile), directed by Lucas Paz (Brazil).
The play, Pasisaje Marino, won the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2018 Scholarship for being a project that increases the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of artists and audience. The play opens up to the vision of “latin culture” embracing the brazilian theater culture and alternative Spanish songs. Ben, a lonely writer, fears to be alone. Tracy, a ballerina with no balance, fears to be loved. He can’t seem to take concrete actions towards his goals. She is always destroying everything she touches. This dance of care and insecurity, trust and vulnerability, staying and leaving, may be just that addictive cycle of killing and giving birth to our true selves – those never ending waves we are all afraid to live in. The world is full of sharks, isn’t it?
