Denver, CO – Telemundo Denver / KDEN today announced that Ariel Rivera Vazquez has been named Weather Anchor for the Noticiero Telemundo Denver, 4:30 PM and 10 PM broadcasts. Rivera will join newly promoted News Anchor Pamela Padilla, Co-Anchor Guillermo Martinez and Sports Anchor Carlos Rausseo to deliver up-to-the-minute weather forecasts and local breaking news and information to Spanish-speaking viewers throughout the Denver metro area. Rivera’s first day with Telemundo Denver will be Wednesday, December 9.
Rivera joins Telemundo Denver from WAPA TV, where he served as an anchor and reporter from 2003. Before this, Rivera worked as a freelance reporter for CNN en Español and for WIAC Radio Puerto Rico.
In 2014, the Telemundo Station Group benefitted from a significant investment made by NBCUniversal in the stations to better serve the flourishing Spanish-speaking community. In June 2015, the station moved to a new state-of-the-art news facility, located in the Comcast Media Center in Centennial, Colorado. The new 6,500 square-foot news center features the latest technologies and enhancements to help the station deliver the highest quality and most relevant news to its viewers.
