The new season of Hulu’s vampiric horror-comedy What We Do in the Shadows seems to be a game of…throne?

Based on the 2014 film of the same name, What We Do in the Shadows follows four old-century vampires as they hilariously interact with the modern world in current-day New York with the help of a familiar or human servant. The series stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou and Mark Proksch as vampires Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja and Colin, respectively, and actor Harvey Guillen in the role of the familiar Guillermo de la Cruz.

Season three, which starts Sept. 2, sees the four vampires getting, three immigrants and one American, excited about becoming the new leaders of the Vampiric Council only to discover that only one of them can sit on the council’s coveted, ornate high chair. Needless to say, a struggle ensues.

The show is written by Clement and Taika Waititi, with the latter also exec producing.

Through its first two seasons, What We Do in the Shadows has received 10 Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and a Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Comedy Series.

After the shocking season two finale, the housemates are in a panic about what to do with Guillermo upon discovering that he is a vampire killer. This season, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter the vampire from which all vampires have descended, a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms and supernatural curiosities galore. Also, Colin Robinson is turning 100. And Nandor, faced with his own eternal-life crisis, tries to inject his life with more meaning. Will he find love or is he destined to be an immortal bachelor with 37 ex-wives?
