El Capitan Theatre’s “Coco” Special Engagement – Sept. 27 to Oct 7


Hollywood, California  – Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre presents a special return engagement of Disney•Pixar’s COCO, September 27 to October 7, shown in brilliant Dolby VisionTM Laser Projection & Dolby Atmos® Sound Technology. Tickets are now on sale at www.elcapitantickets.com, by calling 1-800-DISNEY6 and at The El Capitan Theatre box office.

“We are very pleased to be bringing back Disney•Pixar’s COCO – one of the most beloved films to have played our theatre,” said Ed Collins, General Manager of The El Capitan Theatre.  “And as a special treat, the Grammy® Award Winning Mariachi Divas will perform live on stage with Ballet Folkloric de Los Angeles, September 27-30 and October 6-7 as guests enter – just as they did a year ago during the premiere engagement of the film here.”

ALSO — prior to every showing of COCO, guests will dance in their seats and sing along to exclusive Disney Junior on-screen content themed to its hit series Vampirina, featuring music videos of Vampirina and The Ghoul Girls on the big screen! Upon entrance and exit of the theatre, guests will also be able to take pictures in front of the Vampirina photo-op and receive bat ear headbands, while supplies last.

Disney•Pixar’s COCO showtimes: opening night, Thursday, September 27 at 7pm (only).  September 28 to October 7 daily 10:00AM, 1:00PM, 4:00PM, 7:00PM & 9:45PM (9:45PMon Fridays and Saturdays).  Mariachi Divas and Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles perform live on stage September 27 to 30 and October 6-7.  Showtimes and dates are subject to change.   Special group rates for Disney•Pixar’s COCO of $10 for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110.

Hard Rock Cafe Movie & Meal Package: $40.00 per person.  Each ticket package includes: reserved seat (no concessions) to see the movie at The El Capitan Theatre, and a meal at Hard Rock Café.  Reservations are required in advance (tickets must be booked no later than 24 hrs business days).  This offering is available for all showtimes August 3, 2018 – August 26, 2018.  Guests will choose one entrée from special Hard Rock Cafe menu at the time of their seating.  Tax & gratuity included.  Does not include alcohol – guests can purchase and pay on their own.

Tiny Tot Tuesday: The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday for the first show every Tuesday.  During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way—with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.

DISNEY•PIXAR’S COCO Despite his family’s baffling generations?old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3), co?directed by Adrian Molina (story artist Monsters University) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (Toy Story 3).
