We are searching for a creative Film Editor with graphic artist skills, and a Film Archive Researcher to be part of a team making a compelling, character-driven documentary that to reveals the Key to Peace. We are also bringing on an intern.
* How would you like an opportunity for a Baja beach vacation! * How would you like to work either from your location, or to come down and join us on the beach in Baja, only an hour south of San Diego?
In addition to your pay, we’ll provide you with a lovely suite, only steps from the beach – a great place to be creative! Even if you choose to work primarily from your own location, we’d still throw in the Baja beach vacation to sweeten the deal.
Pay is negotiable, depending upon experience.
Filming is completed, and we aim to complete post no later than June, 2012.
Here are the details:
CREATIVE EDITOR/GRAPHIC ARTIST: Skills required: Creating backgrounds for subjects filmed on greenscreen, titles, possible animation, as well as creative intercutting of historic footage. We’d like an out of the box thinker, with a good sense of comic timing to bring out the humor in our subject (a la “the Yes Men, “The Story of Stuff”,”Roger and Me”). We prefer our editor to either come to our location in Baja for the project, or be located nearby, working out of southern California – the nearer to San Diego the better. You MUST have an online demo reel to be considered.
FILM RESEARCHER: Able to locate film clips in Historical Archives of the 40s and 50s. You can be located and work from anywhere for this position, and be looking for clips located in the USA, France, and Germany. Only English language is required, but if you speak French and/or German as well, that’s a plus.
INTERN: To assist in all aspects of the project. (no pay for this position, but you’ll get a free place to stay in Baja!)
Our budget is quite limited, so we aim to fill out our team with folks who are willing to work for less than their normal rates because they share our passion for drawing audiences into an amazing true story, and inspiring them with creative solutions to the problems of war and global warming.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Take a look at our short video about World Citizen #1 at www.onefilms.com, and let us know if you’d like to work with us on our feature-length documentary. It’s the true story of an intriguing character who has been living as a citizen of no nation, only the world, for 62 years.
TO SUBMIT: Be sure to mention you heard about this from Jeff Gund at INFOLIST.com, and email your COVER LETTER, RESUME, and LINKS to examples of your work to: onefilmsjob@gmail.com Be sure to indicate which POSITION you are submitting for in the subject line of your email.
