The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of Latino leaders, will be hosting its 2021 Leadership Conference and 44th Annual Awards Gala on September 20-23. This is the largest and most influential Hispanic nonpartisan event in Washington, DC, which serves to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.
In alignment with the theme for 2021, Presente: Latinos Leading the Way, the Leadership Conference will convene thousands of national thought leaders to experience an engaging virtual lineup of national leaders, elected officials, policymakers, and influencers recognized for their vision, expertise, and influence across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Some of the previous speakers include President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama, Secretary Hillary Clinton and House Speaker Nacy Pelosi.
This year’s agenda will touch upon critical issues for the Latino community, including Environmental justice, Latina leadership, Latino economic advancement, Racial and social equity, Healthcare after COVID-19, Education, Latino voices in media and entertainment and Immigration.
