A World of Flavor in Netflix’s “Street Food: Latin America”

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed various travel restrictions, but Netflix’s Street Food: Latin America can transport you to a whole new world of flavor.

The documentary takes viewers on a delicious journey through Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia to visit and taste the street vendor cuisine.

Cheesy stuffed potato tortillas, memelas and spicy moqueca are enough to make anyone’s mouth start to water, but the real gems behind the show are the street vendors themselves.

Since there is no host, the street endors walk you through their story, their hardships and triumphs. This documentary style allows viewers to connect with the vendors and highlights the vendor’s street food journey authentically.


Street Food: Latin America shows viewers how culture lives within the ingredients and how the country’s culture influences the dishes they create. The street vendors and their dishes have become cultural staples.

The passion and perseverance behind each vendor is sure to tug on a few heart strings and the tasty dishes will have you craving an authentic home cooked meal.
