Hollywood, CA – Actress Yvette Yates (El Gringo, Without Men) continues to ascent as one of the busiest actress in Hollywood. Her latest gig is playing Leta in the action thriller In The Blood alongside MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano (Haywire), Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Danny Trejo (Machete) , Stephen Lang (Avatar), Luis Guzman (How To Make it in America), and Amaury Nolasco (Transformers).
Blood is set in motion when a husband disappears while vacationing in the Caribbean with his wife (Carano). She sets out in a relentless pursuit of the men who she believes kidnapped and killed him. John Stockwell (Into the Blue, Turistas) directs from a script by Bennett Yellin and James Robert Johnston. Shaun Redick and Ray Mansfield are producing.
Yates recently wrapped The Devil’s Ink the film about bikers, gangsters, and felons from a tattoo shop in Los Angeles where she started alongside Zoe Bell (Death Proof ), Natalie Martinez (End of Watch), RJ Mitte and Richard Cabral. Receiving rave reviews from the New York Times for her role in the action film, El Gringo, opposite Scott Adkins (The Expendables 2) & Christian Slater, which stated “…were it not for a bartender played with verve by Yvette Yates. Her appealing insolence and tasteful love scene provide relief…”
In The Blood marks the seventh film Yates has been cast in a span of a year, while building a fan base she is setting the groundwork, with her performances for star making career.
