Los Angeles, CA — La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, the nation’s premier center of Mexican American culture, presents Viva La Causa! Dolores Huerta & the Struggle for Justice. It is the first-ever full exhibit of Dolores Huerta’s life opens on March 29 and will continue until July 7th at La Plaza Cultura y Artes located downtown Los Angeles at 501 N. Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
Opens March 29 – July 7. Viva La Causa! Dolores Huerta & The Struggle for Justice – Exhibit documents the life and passion of activist and organizer Dolores Huerta. Her life and work have special resonance today, and her continued advocacy gains relevance in issues surrounding immigration, LGBTQ rights, and violence against women. Through multidisciplinary art, explore the struggle and achievements of a woman whose life and work continues to inspire.
Many of the displayed items will be the first time they have been in public.
The mission of LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is to celebrate and cultivate an appreciation for the enduring and evolving influence of Mexican and Mexican-American culture, with a specific focus upon the unique Mexican-American experience in Los Angeles and Southern California.
