Presented Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, New York City
New York, NY — Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News just announced that Cesar Conde, President of Univision Networks, will be the one-on-one keynote interview guest during the 9 a.m. opening session of the Tenth Annual Hispanic Television Summit. The Summit will be held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, New York City on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
“This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Hispanic Television Summit, as well as Univision’s fiftieth Fall season,” said Louis Hillelson, the Group Publisher for the two publications which present this annual Summit. “Univision was the first to be in the business of providing TV to Hispanic viewers. Therefore, it is very appropriate and truly an honor for us to benchmark our tenth Summit with an exclusive conversation with the president of the networks that started this industry.”
Conde is expected to discuss programming and the evolution of content delivery and impact on consumers, advertisers and distribution partners. Most noteworthy will be his discussion of the 2012 election coverage, and the new co-venture with ABC News, among other key topics.
“As the focus and attention on Hispanic consumers and media continues to grow, I am looking forward to joining long-time partners from B&C and Multichannel News for the Annual Hispanic TV Summit,” said Conde.
In his role, Conde oversees the Company’s portfolio of 12 networks, including Univision Network, TeleFutura, Univision Cable Networks, which includes Galavision, De Pelicula, De Pelicula Clasico, Telehit, Clasico TV, Ritmoson Latino and Bandamax, as well as several recently launched networks including Univision Deportes, Univision tlnovelas, and ForoTV networks, and a joint venture with ABC News that will debut a new English-language news network for Latinos next year.
The Hispanic Television Summit has become a “must attend” signature event for about 500 registrants who are in the business of television and digital video targeted to the US Hispanic and Latin American viewing audience.
