When the Peterson Automotive Museum re-opens in December 2015 after its multi-million dollar renovation, not a single person in L.A. will be able to miss it.  The Peterson is being artfully transformed from the inside out with an intense attention to detail that will solidify the Petersen’s place among the world’s premier automotive museums.  Known for its astounding collection of automobiles & art, The Peterson is not just a museum, but can also be rented out as an event venue.  With its collection of cars and it new venue you get a multi-sensory experience.

In preparation of its opening the Peterson is making a b-line for the Latino car enthusiast, and has found in Exodus Events’ LA Story, the perfect partner.  LA Story promises to bring lowrider fans from near and far to experience this one-of-a-kind experiential event.  It is dedicated to celebrating the culture and lifestyle of the classic Lowrider, featuring the most influential custom car ever built, the Gypsy Rose. You will also catch a glimpse of one of the cars from The Peterson. In addition to the live music concert by Tierra and and the other musical talent there will be a Lowrider-themed art exhibit benefiting Plaza de La Raza, a cultural center for the arts and education.

Enrique Castillo in The Peterson Vault

Last week the Peterson events personnel headed Christine S. Chang and Citlalie Gallegos hosted a group of selected press and VIPs for a tour of the museum’s “Vault” where some of their most spectacular cars are stored.  Among the visitors was actor/writer/director Enrique Castillo (Weeds, Blood in Blood Out), who is not only a care enthusiast, but will also be one of  LA Story celebrity guest on Saturday at Plaza de la Raza.

It is hard not to get excited about the beautiful classic, roadsters, and and regal cars stored at the vault.  It was automotive heaven for over two hours.  So many beautiful cars, so little time.

For information on the Peterson Automotive Museum opening and how you can make an appointment for your own tour or to inquire about hosting an onsite event go to visit www.petersenevents.org or e-mail Citlalie Gallegos at cgallegos@petersen.org
