The highly anticipated sequel to the 1982 classic futuristic film Blade Runner, which is in a class of its own, Blade Runner 2049 is set to release on October 6, and for fans the date cannot get here soon enough.
The sci fi thriller is set thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
In addition to Gosling and Ford, Cuban actress Ana de Armas is Joi (Hands of Stone, Knock, Knock) , Edward James Olmos returns as Gaff, Sylvia Hoeks (Overspel), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire), with Dave Bautista (Guardian of the Galaxy II) and Jared Leto (Suicide Squad).
An Alcon entertainment release, Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve Sicario (2015) will be released in 3D and 2D in select theaters and IMAX ?on October 6th
