The David Damian Show Set to Launch with Five Half-Hour Profile Interviews

Host David Damian Figueroa

The David Damian Show, hosted by David Damian Figueroa, was created for, and financed by community through crowdfunding. A Kickstarter site was set up to finance the production and was funded within ten days of its month-long campaign. This newly conceived television program, co-executive produced by Figueroa and Bel Hernandez, will explore unique and diverse perspectives and will feature thought leaders, authors, entertainment, arts & culture.

“David Damian and I have completed our first five shows and now the real work starts as we search for our new home on TV and/or media platform,” said Hernandez, co-executive producer and co-host of TheTrendTalk Show. “We are really proud of our first set of shows and the caliber of guests we were able to secure.”

The David Damian Show initially started as a live interview show with a total of 39 episodes completed and watched by tens of thousands of viewers. Some of the past guests on Figueroa’s social media show included civil rights icon, Dolores Huerta, Nicholas Gonzalez of ABC’s The Good Doctor, Eva Longoria of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, Kiki Melendez of FYI Channel’s Kiki Mobile, and many others.

“Each day there are people that are making our communities a better place to live. There are stories of acts of kindness, courage, struggle, healing, unity, tradition, and leadership. And, stories of perseverance by folks who have made it against all odds while not losing their spirit,” stated Figueroa. “It is my hope to inspire and motivate my viewers to act on building better and more purposeful lives for themselves and the community.”

Figueroa has made important contributions to farmworker rights and justice. He was Associate Producer of the documentary film, The Harvest/ La Cosecha and executive producer of the critically acclaimed documentary film, Food Chains, which premiered at The Berlin Film Festival in 2014.
