Telemundo Washington, The Fastest-Growing Network Among Hispanics

WZDC Telemundo is the Only Station Continuing to Grow its Audience in Washington DC

Washington DC  – WZDC Telemundo celebrated resounding success throughout the broadcast day according to Nielsen’s May 2016 survey. Telemundo Washington DC is the only station to show year-to-year overall growth in the nation’s capital (M-S 7a-1a), while audiences declined on the ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, Univision and MyNetworkTV stations. Contributing to this growth were a +21% audience increase over May ’15 in Adults 18-49 and +35% increase in Women 18-49.

Telemundo Washington DC ranks #1 among Spanish-language television stations in the market in both Morning (M-F 7-10a) and Daytime (M-F 10a-4p), delivering 51% or higher audience shares among both Women 25-54 and Women 18-49.

The hit news magazine show Al Rojo Vivo continued to heat up Early Fringe at 4pm as the #1 Spanish-language program in the market across all adult and women audiences, delivering over 60% of the audiences in key demographics.

Emmy-nominated Telenoticias Washington at 6pm continues its momentum with significant audience growth year-to-year, growing +36% among Adults 18-49 and +29% among Adults 25-54.

Telemundo Washington DC is the dominant source of Spanish-language primetime (M-F 7-11) viewing in the market, garnering a 50% or greater share among key demographics. The 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards show ranked at the top of the charts, as the most watched program among Hispanic Households during the entire ratings period! Stellar hit El Señor de Los Cielos also outperformed the competition in its respective time period.

In the Late News daypart, Telenoticias Washington more than doubled its audience among Adults 25-54 year-to-year (+125%).
