Telemundo Station Appoints Luis Roldan President of WTMO In Florida

Miramar, FL – Telemundo Station Group, part of the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations division of NBCUniversal, announced that Luis Roldan and Roberto Vizcon, two seasoned broadcast professionals will lead WTMO Telemundo. Luis Roldan has been appointed President and General Manager of WTMO. Roberto Vizcon will lead WTMO’s newsroom as Vice President of News.

As President and General Manager, Roldan will oversee all operations of the station including news, sales, marketing and promotions, technology, digital and community affairs. He will report to Manuel Martinez, President, Telemundo Station Group.  As Vice President of News, Vizcon will be responsible for the overall performance of WTMO’s news department and any other local productions across multiple media platforms. Vizcon will report to Roldan.

Roldan joins the Telemundo stations family after launching his career in broadcasting at Telemundo Network as an account executive in 1982. Since then, Roldan has held numerous sales, news and station executive management roles at television stations, networks and radio stations in New York (WNBC NBC, MundoFox), Miami (Spanish Broadcasting System, MundoFox) and Puerto Rico (WKAQ-TV Telemundo, MegaTV, MundoFox).An award-winning journalist with more than 30 years of experience in broadcast news, Vizcon has held numerous newsroom roles with increasing responsibility in television stations in Miami (WSCV Telemundo, WLTV Univision, WTVJ NBC, WJAN America C-V, WGEN Caracol), Puerto Rico (WLII Univision), Washington, D.C. (WUSA), Fort Myers (WINK) and Columbus, OH (WCMH). He returns to WTMO after working as the station’s General Manager from 2004 to 2007.
