Starrett Berry has been hired as Vice President, Broadcast Distribution for MundoFox, it was announced today by Inae Wilson, Senior Vice President, Broadcast Distribution, Fox Broadcasting Company (FBC), to whom he reports.

Mr. Berry, who most recently served as Senior Advisor and Consultant for Una Vez Mas, the largest affiliate group for the national Spanish-language broadcast network, Azteca America. While there he managed distribution issues involving cable, satellite and telco. Previously he worked for LATV Networks LLC, where he helped grow a bi-lingual/bi-cultural channel targeting young Latinos, from a three-hour programming block in Los Angeles into a nationally distributed digital broadcast channel (multicast), affiliated with some of the top television stations and station groups in the United States.
“Starrett is a superb strategic thinker with a tremendous and wide-ranging grasp of the U.S. Hispanic media marketplace,” said Ms. Wilson. “He will work closely with me and other senior MundoFox executives on broadcast distribution initiatives.”
Before moving to LATV in 2003, Mr. Berry spent nearly seven years as an independent media consultant in Los Angeles, where his company, Starrett Berry International Media Consultancy, advised numerous clients including Discovery International, SES Global, Panamsat, Incanta, Mandeville Partners and Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst, as well as Telefe International and Televisa International.
Mr. Berry’s career also includes two stints with Galavision, first as a founding executive for the first Spanish-language cable channel for the U.S., and later as Vice President and General Manager.
Mr. Berry received a B.S. in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin, and his MBA in International Management, from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Glendale, Arizona.
