Brazilian American Actress, Sonia Lopes co-stars with Mauricio Mendoza in the thriller movie Deadly Spa (also known as Zephyr Springs), premiering on Lifetime on Saturday, June 1st at 8PM.
Lopes plays Vita Martinez and Mendoza is her on-screen husband. The loving couple rekindle their youth at the Spa… everything however is not as perfect as it appears in a story that revolves around the spa’s handsome and charismatic founder, David James, played by Johnny Whitworth.

Lopes’ credits include the hit TV show The Unit playing a young Brazialian mom, and she’s also Rosa Rodriguez in the feature film Extreme Justice. Sonia was featured on the Academy Award night special episode of “Planeta Brazil” highlighting her work in Hollywood. Sonia guest starred on the Brazilian Reality show, A Garota de Hollywood as a top Hollywood Acting Coach. Last year she appeared on the hit Brazilian HBO show PreAmor filmed on location at Ipanema Beach. In Rio De Janiero, Sonia volunteered in the favelas of Chapeu Manguiera and Balbilonia teaching english and acting to the local community and took them to see live theatrical productions.
