Raúl Castillo Joins The CW’s “Riverdale”

Los Angeles, CA –  According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO’S Looking star Raúl Castillo has joined the cast of Riverdale in a recurring role.

Castillo will give life to Oscar, a successful  songwriter from New York who is a visiting college professor in Riverdale, a small town where the story take place.  The character will make his debut in the show’s fifth episode.


Set in present day Riverdale offers a subversive take on Archie (K.J. Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and their friends.

The CW’s upcoming mid-season drama based on Archie comics Riverdale is executive produced by Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater.

Castillo made his feature film debut in ‘Amexicano,’ which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2007. Additional film credits include Cold Weather, Gotham, Let Me Drown and My Best Day. His television credits include Blue Bloods, Law & Order and Nurse Jackie.
