Los Angeles, CA – ABC’s drama pilot The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez has cast actor Raúl Castillo (Looking) to give life to Eva Sofia Valdez’s oldest son, Sebastian.
The story written and produced by Cuban American playwright Charise Castro Smith (Devious maids) centers on the life of Eva Sofia Valdez, an immigrant from Cuba who rose from rags to riches. The character is a Miami businesswoman whose success and realization is fueled by an insatiable desire to take revenge on a lover from the past who threatens to reveal the dark sacrifices she made to reach the American Dream, triggering a series of difficulties that could destroy her family.
Actor/playwright Castillo who hails from McAllen, TX caught Hollywood’s eye as Richie in HBO’s Looking. He has also recently been cast in the indie film Permission.
Castillo is repped by CAA.
