X-Men: First Class Stars Lucas Mill, Maria Bello are on board in the ensemble indie drama Strings
Hollywood, CA — Producers Danny Rodriguez and Oscar Torres along with director Daniel Duran have cast their indie film Strings with Lucas Till and Maria Bello. Also cast is Tom Everette Scott (Southland).
Torres, who also wrote the script tells the story about a talented DJ (Till) who succumbs to the pressures of the industry and sets out to find himself on a trip to his father’s house in North Dakota. Along the way, he meets a girl who as instant impact on his life.
“After Oscar [Torres] finished writing in October,” said Rodriguez, “everything happened pretty fast… we had commitment from a private investor in March and started pre on April 1st in Winnipeg.”
Tom Everette Scott
For Till, this role marks a huge leap into leading man status, after his breaking out role in X-Men: First Class. He’s waited a long time for a strong lead. He was most recently seen in Fox Searchlight’s Stoker and next can been seen in the Relativity thriller Paranoia. Till is represented by APA and WCM.
Bello is with CAA and John Carrabino Management and can be seen next in Sony’s Grown Ups 2 as well as the Alcon thriller Prisoners with Hugh Jackman. Everett Scott is represented by Paradigm and John Carrabino Management and was most recently seen in the Fox pic Parental Guidance.
