Patricia Rae In Anticipated Film, “The Big Wedding”

Colombian Super Woman Adds New Blockbuster To Her Diverse Resume

Known for her memorable supporting role in the Oscar nominated HBO feature film, Maria Full of Grace, which earned her an Imagen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, forty-something Colombian stunner, Patricia Rae, stars in the upcoming, anticipated Lionsgate feature film, The Big Wedding due out in theaters nationwide this fall on October 26.

Colombia has long been known for its addicting exports such as Shakira and presently Sofia Vergara. With that said, we’re now introducing another one of Colombia’s finest: Patricia Rae. The sexy Colombian actress is certainly adding Latin flavor to The Big Wedding. With Rae in a pivotal, meaty role, whose character gives the entire story its main conflict and principal plot twist, she is also spicing things up with our beloved A-list actors!

Rae shares the screen with an impressive ensemble cast including Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl, Topher Grace, Robin Williams and Amanda Seyfried, to name a few. These Hollywood Big Guns go out of their way to conspire an intricate master plot: to lie to “Madonna”- Patricia Rae, that is. Written and directed by Justin Zackham (writer of The Bucket List), the rom- com centers around Don (Robert De Niro) and Ellie (Diane Keaton), a long divorced couple, who pretend to still be happily married, for the sake of their adopted son’s (Ben Barnes) wedding, and his conservative biological (Colombian) mother Madonna Sotto (Patricia Rae). The hoax snowballs into a raucously funny, yet poignant story about the ties that bind, as they all quickly learn that acting the part isn’t as easy as it used to be.

The Columbian actress keeps proving her diverse roles with The Big Wedding added to her prolific resume which includes feature films, Detachment (starring Adrian Brody) and Swimfan along with small screen roles including Blue Bloods with Donnie Whalberg and Jennifer Esposito, The Mentalist and The Closer.

Aside from her day job, she is also an accredited Power Flow Yoga teacher where she specializes in Yoga for Scoliosis and Back Care – an issue close to her heart, as her daughter, Sage, was diagnosed with the condition.

In an industry based on fabricated reality and pretense, Patricia Rae is the real deal. From taking her first step in the industry in the east coast to testing the LA shores, where she landed a role of a lifetime in Maria Full of Grace, if there’s one actor who has definitely paid her dues, Rae takes the cake.
