For the fourth year, Nosotros, a non-profit organization founded by actor legend, Ricardo Montalban in 1970, hosted its Holiday bash to help the children. The festivities also marked the beginning of 2015’s celebration of the organization’s 45th anniversary.
“We are so honored to have co-hosted with Nosotros. There is power of collaborations and we felt it tonight,” said Bel Hernandez President/CEO of Latin Heat Entertainment. “We hope this is the first of many collaborations with Nosotros in the year to come as we look forward to helping the organization celebrate their 45th anniversary.”

“To me, last night’s event, brought together a room full of the ‘old guard’ Latino organizers of Nosotros’ past decades and the new generation of Latino performers and artists that are making in-roads into the difficult industry of Show Business. — Adrian Tafoya, Actor
Randy Vasquez, Julio Martinez (LatinHeat TeleVision Features Editor) and Elia Esparza
Actor Sandra Santiago
Adrian Tafoya, a writer producer reflected on the idea of collaborating and how the new generation of Latino artist is embracing the idea of collaboration and multi-dimensional artists that can create their own projects and tell their own stories independently. “Now we are making strides, and as I paraphrase Fanny Veliz’s speech last night, ‘Thank you to the one’s that kicked down those doors in the past.’ It was really gratifying to hear those words.”
The EYC is a licensed, non-profit, social service agency that serves abused, neglected, abandoned and at-risk youth. Several hundred toys were donated and will greatly help the EYC to give the children they service gifts during these difficult times when economic resources are so limited.
In the spirit of collaboration we were happy to count on the work of some very special photographers: Special thanks to Ryan Castro, the event’s official professional photographer, and Bobby Guzman, a wonderful photographer and community activist. The other photos came from my personal phone collection, as a personal scrapbook I wanted to share.
“I had such a wonderful time last night. What an awesome idea to close the year. NOSOTROS and Latin Heat united together to bring smiles to underprivileged children with toys and goodies. Not to mention joining old friends with new to create a stronger Latino Entertainment Community. Definitely felt the love.” —Laura Sixtos, Sixtos Talent Management
