Nicholas Gonzalez is DEA on Netflix’s ‘Narcos’

Los Angeles, CA – According to Deadlne, Nicholas Gonzalez (Pretty Little Liars, Jane The Virgen) has joined television drug-trafficking drama, Narcos.

Gonzalez, who recently lent his voice to Ernesto Gonzalez in the animated series Bordertown, will now play the role of  Lopez, an experienced DEA agent who will become involved in the drug war.

In the third season of Narcos, after the death of  Colombian drug leader, a more organized and powerful drug cartel will be introduced. The Cali cartel and its leader Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, played by Mexican actor Damian alcazar, will take over.

“There’s a reason why we call this show Narcos and not Pablo Escobar. It’s very much about the trade. There are other drug dealers and there are alliances formed against Pablo, so there are a multitude of stories we could tackle,” told producer Eric Newman to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jose Padilha and Eric Newman will continue to serve as executive producers of the series.

Gonzalez also is recurring on the seventh season of  Pretty Little Liars as Detective Vic Furey and is reprising his role of Dante Ramon in the CW’s The Flash.

He’s repped by Pakula/King & Associates and LINK.
