Cinco de Mayo: The Battle
The Newport Beach Film Festival is seeing the light with an excellent selection of films starting April 25 through May 2, 2013.
During the week of the festival, screenings are held at several venues in the Newport Beach area. With 15 screens showing films each day, our venue partners provide a fantastic viewing experience for all festival-goers.

Tropicalia, Brazil submission, 87 min., 7:45 PM Edwards Big Newport Director: Marcelo Machado Writers: Vaugn Glover, Marcelo Machado Stars: Gilbert Gil, Caetano Veloso Synopsis: Set against the turbulent atmosphere of the 1960s, Tropicália is a feature length documentary exploring the Brazilian artistic movement known as tropicália, and the struggle its artists endured to protect their right to freely express revolutionary thought against the traditional brazilian music of that time.
