Nely Galán Set to Receive Latinovator Award at Hispanicize 2012


Nely Galán, Latina media entrepreneur and founder of The Adelante Movement to empower Hispanic women, will be honored with a Hispanicize 2012 Latinovator Award.   Hispanicize 2012 (http://www.HispanicizeEvent.com), the annual Latino trends event, will take place in Miami, April 10-13.

Nely, the former President of Entertainment at Telemundo, created the groundbreaking  FOX reality series about self-transformation The Swan, which was seen around the world and was the first Latina to star in NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump where she raised over $250,000 for her favorite women’s entrepreneurship charity.  Nely is also featured in HBO’s The Latino List.  Hispanicize 2012, the annual Latino trends event, will take place in Miami, April 10-13.  Nely is scheduled to speak on Thursday morning April 12th.

In addition to Nely, Hispanicize 2012 has also announced Grammy award winner , dog whisperer Cesar Millan and Spanish TV personality Maria Elena Salinas as Latinovator Award recipients.  Each Latinovator award will be individually presented at special general sessions throughout the conference, where they will speak to attendees about their experiences on the road to success.  Nely is scheduled to speak on Thursday morning April 12th.

Now in its third year, Hispanicize 2012 (#hispz12) is the annual event focused on Latino trends and trendsetters in social media, entertainment, marketing and media.  The event is a partnership of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), Hispanicize and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
