For those who are enamored with FOX’s American Idol and Glee are in for a super duper treat because on Thursday, March 7th, it will be all about the music!
That night will feature a special 90-minute episode of American Idol in which the Season 12 finalists will be revealed, followed by a Glee episode containing the show’s 500th musical performance.
A TV concert night integrated with a reality singing contest show and a delightful musical-comedy show.
American Idol will begin the night, airing from 8-9:30pm (live ET, delayed PT). On the episode, audience votes will be tallied and the Season 12 finalist are revealed live from Los Angeles. Don’t miss the reactions of judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban, along with host Ryan Seacrest.
After this, Glee will air at 9:30pm for the “Girls (and Boys) on Film” episode. In this installment, the members of New Directions have to choose a song from a movie to sing. The 500th performance will include the R&B hit “Shout,” the anthem fromAnimal House. Meanwhile in New York, Santana (Naya Rivera) makes herself at home in the loft a little too quickly for Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) comfort.
