MundoFox: Poncho de Anda to Host “El Faxtor X”

Triumphant Return to Broadcast Television for Beloved Industry Veteran, who Joins Judges Belinda, Chino y Nacho and Angélica María

Los Angeles, CA – MundoFox today announced that Mexican television personality, Poncho de Anda, will host El Factor X, slated to premiere on the network for the first time on Spanish-language television in the U.S. this summer. The new singing competition marks Poncho de Anda’s much anticipated return to broadcast television, marking another milestone in his successful career as one of Hispanic television’s most popular hosts.

De Anda, who started his career in radio as a host and producer in his native Mexico, is best known to U.S. audiences as host to several popular Spanish-language television programs. He co-hosted the live morning show, Despierta América and the reality show Dale Con Ganas from the creator of The Biggest Loser.  He also served as co-host for Emilio Estefan’s reality show “Nuevas Voces de América;” the morning newscast Hoy En El Mundo and the morning variety show Cada Dia. De Anda has also presented several special events, including the Billboard Latin Music Awards Red Carpet Show and the Miss Universe Pageant.

Throughout his television career in the U.S., de Anda has interviewed some of the biggest celebrities in the entertainment industry including Shakira, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Antonio Banderas, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Robert De Niro, and Metallica, among others.

De Anda will join previously announced judges: award-winning Latin recording artists Belinda and Chino & Nacho, and Mexican television and music icon Angélica María who will travel to some of the top cities in the U.S. searching for undiscovered talent from 8 to 15 years old, who can compete as solo artists or vocal groups. Open auditions for the series will also take place across the country, attracting young aspiring hopefuls looking to make their dream of becoming the next big singing sensation come true.
