Mark Consuelos, the gorgeous hunk married to Kelly Ripa has landed himself a lead on an Amazon Studios comedy pilot, Alpha House which also co-stars John Goodman, Yara Martinez and Kobi Libil. Cartoonist Garry Trudeau is guilty of writing the pilot and no doubt will have a loyal following even before it airs.Trudeau is creator of Doonesbury comic strip.
Alpha House is set in Washington DC where four senators share a rented house.– Political roomies not unlike the real-life DC politicos living scenarios. Consuelos is Andy Guzman, a young, handsome, confident Senator with an excess of charm and swagger. A rogue with an irresistible smile. Goodman plays another Senator and Martinez is the beautiful Adriana de Portago, a Cuban-American billionaire heiress looking for a good time with her beau, Andy Guzman. Libil is Aaron Stimson, a Capitol Hill vet who works for one of the senator’s.
Consuelos, gained fame in 1995 when he joined the soap All My Children. He has since become a charismatic and popular TV actor where more recently is seen on shows: Guys With Kids, The New Normal, American Horror Story: Asylum, among other guest star roles on many of the top primetime dramas and sitcoms. Consuelos is represented by CAA and Liebman Entertainment, while Martinez is with APA and D2 Management and has recurred roles on ABC Family’s The Lying Game, ABC’s Nashville and TNT’s Southland. LSR&A and manager Ken Treusch represent Libil and can be seen in the off-Broadway play Really Really.
