The fourth installment of NUVOtv’s hit series Mario Lopez: One-On-One features an exclusive interview with one of music’s biggest power duos, Latin music royalty Gloria and Emilio Estefan on December 6 at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
NUVOtv’s Mario Lopez: One-On-One, has previously featured Latino superstars Eva Longoria, Mark Sanchez and George Lopez, all mega stars in their own right who also happen to be personal friend of Lopez’s. This makes for intimate, fun, candid, revealing conversations between these mega stars and give you a sense you’re in on a private conversation.
In the upcoming special episode, Lopez pays a visit to the pioneering Gloria and Emilio Estefan who are considered the first Latino artists to “break-through” into mainstream American pop culture. They have paved the way, inspired and produced some of the hottest Latin music acts on the scene today.
In his latest interiew, the Estefans share with Lopez some of the most memorable moments in their life, from the production of the famous “Conga” music video to their tragic accident which almost left Gloria paralyzed. Mario gets up close and personal, as only a friend can do, to discover the secret that keeps this couple’s love strong after 34 years of marriage.
In an emotional moment, the Estefans also reveal their dream of singing in a free Cuba. Despite touring in hundreds of cities and performing in numerous countries, Gloria still hopes for a day when she can sing for the first time in her home country.
Together the Estefans have garnered 26 Grammys, conga-ing their way to mainstream success selling over 100 million albums. Their teamwork extends beyond marriage and music to an empire that includes restaurants, hotels and television.
New episodes of Mario Lopez: One on One will continue to premiere on NUVOtv throughout the year offering an inside look into the lives of some of the most influential Latino celebrities today.
