The event features comedian Kiki Melendez, Actress Sandra Gutierrez (Crazy-Ex Girlfriend) as MC, Andrea Espada (Social Media Host, 4 Million Followers), Amanda Gari as Judy Garland, Lana Jennifer Harper as Marylin Monroe, Julia Vari as Songstress, Andy Howe (Pianist for Vikki Carr & Debbie Reynolds) and Kesia Elwin as Chavela Vargas. Guests will screen a documentary about Macha Theatre and a sneak preview of award-winning playwright and Artistic Director Odalys Nanin‘s new play Frida Khalo.
Macha Theatre is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 to build social, cultural, and artistic bridges between the straight and gay communities of various ethnicities and provide the LGBTI community a sense of belonging. It is the only independent theater left in the City of West Hollywood.
