Actress, comedienne and self-appointed common sense guru Lydia Nicole is back and hotter than ever with Season Five of her celebrated vlog series, Common Sense Mamita, premiering on September 26th, the all-new episodes kick everything up to ‘caliente’ as the Common Sense Mamita brand branches out with a wide range of fresh– weekly– features:

Tuesday Talks LIVE, featuring wicked funny and bluntly informative interactive chats streaming Common Sense Newsletters, full of equally hilarious and sound advice, common sense tips, common social faux pas to avoid, and all the raucous “Dear CS” column Faith Filled Friday, with heartfelt original prayer videos applicable to all audiences

The spicy wit and irreverent wisdom of Common Sense Mamita has become a weekly fan-favorite, delivering a hilarious in-your-face dose of ‘tough-love’ honesty that could only come from a loving and shrewd mamita. Covering all aspects of Hollywood life from creative careers to healthy lifestyles, relationship mistakes and family feuds, all with a wholesome dose of spirituality. Nicole launched the streetwise ‘edutainment’ brand in 2013, and it was instantly picked up by Latin Heat Entertainment.

Nicole is excited about this season’s topics, including two headlining series geared towards Common Sense Mamita’s popular audiences: the mature actors, with “Taking Back Hollywood: Acting After 35,” and the Latino creatives, with “Hispanic Heritage Month: Celebrating Latinos in Hollywood!”

Lydia is the former host of The Comedy Store’s weekly Latino Comedy Night. She’s participated and produced stand-up comedy shows Funny Ladies of Comedy and the all-Latina “The Hot and Spicy Mamitas,” which performed before sold-out audiences nationwide and recorded a hit  with Uproar Records.


Lydia’s acting career spans over 30 years, guest-starring in numerous television shows and films including the Oscar-nominated film Stand and Deliver starring Edward James Olmos. Lydia is also a producer with numerous credits including Robert Townsend’s Playin’ For Love, starring Townsend and Jenifer Lewis; Why We Laugh, a documentary on the history of African American comedy; and the recent dramatic bio-pic In The Hive.
