Leonard Nimoy, since the very first airing of Star Trek on Sept. 8 1966, he was the well loved pointy-eared Vulcan who we came to love and depend on. He was Star Trek‘s creator, Gene Roddenberry’s conscience.
In his 1995 book, I Am Spock, he wrote:
In Spock, I finally found the best of both worlds: to be widely accepted in public approval and yet be able to continue to play the insulated alien through the Vulcan character.
Muchas gracias, Mr. Nimoy for the wonderful adventures, the thought-provoking conversations and the many laughs. The cosmos are rejoicing by your arrival. You are finally home.
