The LatinoMediaVisions joins the American Cinematheque and the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in Los Angeles in the presentation of Argentina’s official Academy Awards® submission, The Clan directed by Pablo Trapero On November 20, 2015 at the Egyptian Theater. The evening begins with the excitement of the red carpet event. Among the lights and cameras the cast and crew of the films and special celebrity invited guest will take a walk into the legendary Rigler Theatre at the Eqyptian Theater.

After the screening of the short film The Clouds Before (2014, 20 min. Dir. Marcelo Mitnik) Argentina’s official Oscar® submission The Clan (2015, Fox International Productions, 110 min, Argentina, Dir: Pablo Trapero) will screen. The Clan is based on a true story and centers on the Puccio family, which kidnapped four people in Buenos Aires in the 1980s and murdered three of them. The film set a weekend box office record in Argentina when it opened this past August.


A Q&A will be held with The Clouds Before writer-producer-director Marcelo Mitnik and producers Dave Kajganich and Paula Manzanedo Schmit who will be in attendance to talk about the making of the film. A reception will follow immediately after the Q&A.

Earlier in the day at 4pm, the LatinoMediaVisions’ Entrepreneurial MediaMaker Development Program will present the second of their business seminars targeted at independent filmmakers.

LatinoMediaVisions’s second seminar of our “From Concept to Profit” series will take place on November 20th, 2015, 4-6pm at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood in collaboration with the Argentina New Cinema series and it isalso  presented by Rémy Martin.

Our market-driven entrepreneurial seminar will inculcate the Creative and Business structure of an independent film investment. Creative elements include all creative talent of value both in front and behind the camera and Business elements include Investment deal points, time-line, ROI as well as funding structures.

Attendees that best benefit from our platform are independent filmmakers with projects that are ready to build the investment plan. We will be seeking projects to include in the LHMI/IGMG film investment incubator and accelerator program for early 2016.

Panelists will include a packaging agent, studio producer, independent producer, business lawyer and a bank representative.
