LatinHeat Media Institute & the American Cinematheque Announce “Strike One” Red Car


LatinoMediaVisions Launches New Initiative to Showcase and Develop Entrepreneurial Latino MediaMakers

Hollywood, CA –  LatinHeat Media Institute, in collaboration with Alex Mendoza & Associates and Impresario Global Media Group, and in association with the American Cinematheque, announce the official launch of LatinoMediaVisions, a new initiative designed to showcase and develop entrepreneurial Latino media-makers. The star-studded premiere launch event will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the historic Egyptian Theatre at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028.


Crop Strike One

LatinoMediaVisions launches with the red carpet premiere of the indie film Strike One, Directed by David Llauger Meiselman which stars Danny Trejo (Machete), Johnny Ortiz (American Crime), Alma Martinez (The Bridge), Billy Gallo (Crash), and French Steward (ABC’s The Middle) and a special screening of the award-winning short film Contrapelo, starring Art Bonilla (Salvador) and Eduardo Roman (21 Days).


“We are creating a new movement for Hollywood. Our Entrepreneurial MediaMaker Development Program is designed to get the Latino independent content producer from A to Z,” said Bel Hernandez, Executive Director of Latin Heat Media Institute. “Also, in association with the American Cinematheque we have an opportunity to screen media content produced by, starring, and about Latinos, bringing attention to established and up and coming media makers in film, TV, and online.


“Latino audiences have demonstrated that we want more Latino inclusive content and we are responding to that demand of delivering more market driven content,” said Marco Rea of Impresario Global Media Group. “LatinoMediaVisions will provide a pipeline of Latino content investments and grow more entrepreneurial content producers therefore creating more sustainable partnerships for the entertainment industry,” he continues.

As part of the LatinoMediaVisions campaign, organizers are reaching out to the Latino film-making community, including award-winning directors, writers, producers and actors, asking them to join the LatinoMediaVisions movement by taping a 30 second video answering the question, What is your LatinoMediaVisions? Each video will carry a powerful message about the new realities Latinos in Hollywood would like to see, be it in Hollywood or the world.
