Los Angeles, August 14, 2018—The summer event of the year, LATINAFest: Mind, Body & Soul, is putting the final touches on the exciting festivities being hosted by LatinHeat Media and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles from 11am to 5pm.

Just as Cece Valencia is a jolt of force on her POWER 106FM radio show,  promoting women empowerment, she brings that force to her interview on TheTRENDTALK which will shoot before a live audience. Cece will share her insights on working in a man’s industry and breaking every glass ceiling she’s ever encountered. A popular radio personality, TV host and philanthropist, whose very distinctive sound and unique flavor has built a legacy in the radio industry, she is a force to be reckoned with.  Her interview will also air on a future episode of TheTRENDTALK (airing on MEtv Network, with a reach of over 4 million Los Angeles households).

LATINAFest’s MC is Emmy award-winning TV host/actress and entrepreneur, Fernanda Kelly, most recognized as the former host of Univision’s TV show Lanzate. She recently launched her own clothing line “Shop Her Closet KM”, which will be exhibiting at LATINAFest.

The fun begins at 11 am when the guests are greeted at the gate by Kristelle Monterrosa, Bailadora de Rumba Flamenca/Director of Dancing Souls documentary — as she leads them in a Rumba down the crossway and into the LATINAFest grounds to begin the day’s festivities!

Desi Bartlett, M.S., CPT E-RYT, Health and Wellness Yoga Instructor Conducts The Largest Outdoor Latina Yoga Session Ever Recorded

Bartlett, whose passionate aura is infectious and her message of the joy of movement with people all over the world, have made her a global yoga and wellness coach phenomena.  She will conduct the morning yoga session with over 100 women signed on to participate

Keta Rush Conducts a Self-Defense Demonstration With STX film Peppermint starring Jennifer Garner

Keta Rush, Actress/MMA Fighter & Founder/ CEO of Team Bully Buster, and part of WOW (Women of Wrestling) conducts a self defense demonstration to highlight the STX film Peppermint whose theme of empowerment compliments the storyline of a woman who embarks on a deadly quest to deliver her own personal brand of punishment after her family is killed.

Authors in attendance are as impressive as their reputation. Latinas like Author Eva Macias, a powerful leader and sought-after speaker in the financial industry. Her book, A Latina’s Guide to Money, a must-read;  Prominent Ted-X speaker Natalie Torres-Haddad, an award-winning author of the International Latino Book Awards of 2016, for her published book Financially Savvy in 20 Minutes;  And award-winning Maritere R.
