Omni-Cultural TV Festival Announced at Hispanicize Los Angeles Conference

Omni-Cultural TV Festival Press Conference & Cocktail Party October 12, 2018, 6:30 to 8:00 pm During Hispanicize L.A. Intercontinental Hotel, Beverly Hills

Los Angeles  — Latin Hollywood Films, in partnership with the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), is proud to announce the inaugural Omni-Cultural TV Festival, a unique multicultural platform for independent content producers to showcase new ideas for television and Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms. The Press Conference and cocktail is part of Hispanicize LA and will be hosted by stars Nadine Velazquez and Zulay Henao, It will provide industry journalists and independent producers with an opportunity to learn more about the Spring 2019 event.

Omni-Cultural TV Festival’s mission is to connect independent producers through networking activities, screenings and panels.

“The festival will unite and celebrate various cultures, ethnicities, religions and gender identities, while also providing a forum for entertainment professionals to sell content to legitimate buyers,” says Kiki Melendez, award-winning actress and producer and festival founder.

Event co-founder Sarkis Semeriyan of JEAR Entertainment adds, “Our goal is to support new talent from all cultures and address their clear need for higher visibility in the entertainment industry.”

Omni-Cultural TV Festival will accept submissions via its website www.omniculturaltvfest.com beginning Oct 12th, 2018, with a deadline of April 5th, 2019

An independent blue-ribbon panel of industry professionals including showrunners, buyers, distributors and established actors will select screening participants and determine best-in-class offerings for recognition.

Organizers Melendez and JEAR Entertainment previously hosted the Latin Hollywood Films Upfronts in New York and Los Angeles, attracting more than 1,200 industry professionals to their events. These gatherings received critical acclaim and in less than a year led to the launch of 13 episodes of the talk-show, Kiki Mobile on national television.

Hispanicize LA is a three-day networking event that runs from Oct. 11-13 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month activities across the U.S.
