LA Latino Musicians, Entertainers To Present #LAMusicaHelps on Oct. 8th at Plaza de la Culture
On Sunday, October 8, 20017 The Los Angeles Latino musical and entertainment communities are joining forces to support relief efforts in Mexico and the Caribbean by presenting #LAMÚSICAHELPS an eight-hour concert to raise funds for disaster relief organizations serving Mexico and the Caribbean. The concert will run from noon to 8PM and will feature performances by ten local bands and appearances by local celebrities. Hosted by La Plaza de Cultura & Artes downtown Los Angeles, 501 N. Main Street, Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are $20 each at Tickeri.com and at the door.
The concert will be streamed nationally via Facebook Live. 100% of all contributions will be donated to emergency relief organizations.

Betto Arcos is an independent radio producer and host of KPFK’s world music show Global Village, a daily program he created as music director in 1997. Since 2009, he’s been a regular contributor to PRI’s The World and NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered, covering Latin and world music.
